Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched and performed bhoomi puja for development works worth ₹2,000 crore in a single day, asserting that the government has already proved wrong the BJP’s “empty treasury” allegation by implementing ₹1 lakh crore worth of development works across Karnataka.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Hi-Tech Silk Cocoon Market, the H.N. Valley 3rd Phase project to fill 164 lakes, and several other major programmes, the Chief Minister said these initiatives reflect the pace and seriousness of the government’s development agenda.
“Our Works Are the Answer to BJP’s False Claims”
Beginning his address, Siddaramaiah said:
“The BJP claimed that the treasury is empty. Our answer is simple development works worth ₹1 lakh crore. The guarantee schemes have already benefited every family, and development works are continuing at the same scale.”
He said the newly inaugurated Hi-Tech Silk Cocoon Market would transform the lives of silk growers across Karnataka, especially in the Shidlaghatta region.
Guarantee Schemes Will Not Be Stopped
Siddaramaiah reiterated that all guarantee schemes will continue:
“As long as our government is in power, no guarantee scheme will be discontinued. We are spending thousands of crores on irrigation, rural development and urban development.”
He said financial assistance and welfare benefits are reaching households every month, disproving the opposition’s allegations.
Mini Vidhana Soudha for Shidlaghatta
Responding to demands from district in-charge minister M.C. Sudhakar and local MLAs, the CM announced that the government will allocate funds for a Mini Vidhana Soudha in Shidlaghatta and take up other essential works.
He emphasised that development must empower all communities:
“Ours is a government for all religions and all castes. Only when caste and class divisions disappear will independence have true meaning.”
“BJP Failed to Build Even One House”
Siddaramaiah sharply criticised the previous BJP government:
“Despite having power, they did not construct even a single house. They failed the people. Now, seeing our work reach the doorsteps of citizens, they are spreading false allegations.”
He said the Congress follows development-driven politics that unites people rather than divides them.
Congress Will Return in 2028, Says CM
With strong confidence, Siddaramaiah said:
“We are fulfilling every promise we made. Congress will definitely return to power in 2028.”
