Radhika Narayan Joins the Cast of “Mahaan” – A Tribute to Farmers

Shekhar and produced under the banner of Aakash Pictures by Prakash Buddoor, the film stars Vijay Raghavendra in the lead.
Story:
Known for his aesthetically rich storytelling, director P.C. Shekhar teams up with Vijay Raghavendra and producer Prakash Buddoor for Mahaan, a socially driven film centered on the lives of farmers. The production marks a collaboration with a prestigious educational institution and promises a blend of meaningful cinema and strong performances.
The makers have officially welcomed Radhika Narayan, famed for her role in Rangitaranga, through a special poster reveal. Expressing her happiness, Radhika shared,
“I’ve always wanted to work under the direction of P.C. Shekhar. Though it didn’t happen earlier, I’m thrilled that it’s finally materializing with Mahaan. The moment I heard it’s a film about farmers, I connected with the story instantly. I’ll be playing a rural character, which is something new and exciting for me.”
Director P.C. Shekhar also expressed his delight in casting Radhika, saying,
“We had discussed a couple of stories in the past, but they didn’t come through. I’m glad she’s finally a part of Mahaan. Her character will be unique and pivotal to the narrative.”
Producer Prakash Buddoor echoed similar sentiments, adding,
“Having an actress of Radhika’s caliber, who has delivered stellar performances in films like Rangitaranga, is a proud moment for our production house’s debut project.”
Notably, the film’s title Mahaan was recently unveiled by Kannada superstar Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shivarajkumar, adding prestige to the project.
