Pink Line Trials Pick Up Pace, May Launch Likely

Trial runs on the elevated stretch of the Bengaluru Metro’s Pink Line have gathered momentum, signalling steady progress toward its anticipated opening in May. Officials overseeing the project said key systems, including track alignment, signalling and power supply, are being tested to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

The Pink Line, designed to strengthen east–west connectivity across the city, is expected to significantly ease road congestion once commissioned. Metro authorities noted that the elevated section forms a crucial link in the corridor, connecting densely populated residential and commercial areas.

With testing progressing as scheduled, commuters are hopeful that the new line will offer faster, reliable travel and reduce dependence on private vehicles. If timelines are met, the Pink Line will mark another major milestone in Bengaluru’s expanding urban transport network.
