Vadodara, Feb. 3, 2026 — In a commanding performance at the Baroda Cricket Association Stadium, the Delhi Capitals Women booked their place in a fourth straight Women’s Premier League (WPL) final with a seven-wicket victory over the Gujarat Giants Women in Tuesday’s Eliminator match.
Chasing a target of 169 set by the Giants, the Capitals chased down the total in 15.4 overs, finishing on 169/3 with an emphatic batting display. Opener Lizelle Lee top-scored with a rapid 43 off 24 balls, while Shafali Verma contributed a brisk 31 off 21, putting the chase firmly in the Capitals’ favour early on.
Captain Jemimah Rodrigues continued the momentum with a crucial 41-run knock, supported by a steady innings from Laura Wolvaardt as Delhi cruised to victory with time to spare.
The win extends Delhi’s remarkable consistency in the league, as they now prepare to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) — who topped the league stage — in Thursday’s final. Last season, Delhi fell short against RCB in the title match, and will be looking to overturn that result this time.
For the Gujarat Giants, the loss ends their hopes of reaching a maiden WPL final, despite a competitive total posted in their innings.
Fans can expect a high-stakes showdown in the WPL final on February 5, with the Capitals aiming to finally clinch the trophy after three previous final defeats.
