A vulture conservation trust has filed an official complaint against Kiccha Sudeep, host of Bigg Boss Kannada 12, claiming his remarks in a recent weekend episode spread misleading information about vultures
As per reports, “The complaint, filed via Forest Department officials argues that the comments misrepresented vultures’ behavior and ecological role. With the show’s massive viewership, the trust warns, such statements risk fueling widespread misinformation.”
In the episode, Sudeep allegedly suggested vultures hunt or chase live prey. The trust counters that vultures are scavengers that feed solely on animal carcasses, playing a crucial role in ecosystems by swiftly clearing dead animals and curbing disease spread
The officials have stressed that public figures must handle wildlife topics responsibly, as errors can harm conservation drives. They urge the show’s producers and host to issue a public clarification and prioritize accuracy moving forward.
The latest controversy comes at a time the show’s grand finale is around the corner. In October, the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board has halted the show and ordered for its immediate closure after finding environmental violations at the Bidadi studio.
