Vijay Raghavendra’s Farmer look from Mahaan Unveiled on Sankranti occasion

The first look of Mahaan, starring Vijay Raghavendra, was unveiled on the occasion of the Sankranti festival.

Produced under the banner of Akash Pictures and directed by P. C. Shekhar, the film features Vijay Raghavendra in the role of a farmer.

Sankranti shares an inseparable bond with farmers, who celebrate it as the harvest festival. Centered on this strong connection, Mahaan is a film rooted in a farmer-centric narrative. The movie is produced by Prakash Buddoor and directed by P. C. Shekha.

Vijay Raghavendra plays the lead, portraying a farmer in this socially relevant story.
Speaking about the film, director P. C. Shekhar said that Mahaan would be a truly significant film in his career. “In our film, the real ‘Mahaan’ (great soul) is the farmer. This story highlights the struggles of farmers. Just as soldiers who protect the nation are important, farmers are equally vital. Vijay Raghavendra raises his voice for farmers and responds to their hardships through his character. Since Sankranti is a festival close to farmers’ hearts, we chose this occasion to unveil his first look.”

He further added that while writing the story, he had Vijay Raghavendra in mind for the role, and the actor readily agreed after hearing the narration. “He has truly breathed life into the character. Even after watching the film, this role will stay with audiences,” the director said. Producer Prakash Buddoor has ensured that the film is made without any compromises.

Apart from Vijay Raghavendra, the film also stars Radhika Narayan, Mitra, Namrata Gowda, and Varsha Bollamma in key roles.
