The official jersey and trophy unveiling, along with the song launch of the “Maharani Cricket League Season 1 (MCL) which is a celebrity women’s cricket tournament presented on a Kannada OTT platform by producer Madhavanand was held in grand style at The Soda Factory.
Noted personalities including Sa Ra Govindu, B. R. Lakshman Rao, Jogi, Bharamanna Uppar (Chairman, Uppara Development Corporation, Government of Karnataka), Tara Anuradha, Sundarraj, N. M. Suresh, Praveen Kumar, B. M. Harish, Vikram Soori, Namita Rao, Janhavi, Apoorva, Satish Kad Bam, Raj Cup founder Rajesh Brahmavar, and Peter from SWCL attended as chief guests and conveyed their best wishes for the success of MCL Season 1.
Six teams will participate in the tournament: MCL Times Insight Warriors (Owner: Sharath Kumar S), NSR Riders (Owner: Raghukumar B), VP Challengers (Owner: R. S. Mahesh), PRM Titans (Owner: Prema Gowda), Classic Queen (Owner: Lakshman Uppar), and RJ Royal (Owner: Rainesha). Celebrity players including Spoorthi Vishwas, Jayalakshmi, Kavitha Kambar, Prema Gowda, and Vanishree were also present at the event. Renowned anchor Harish Nagaraj hosted the programme with finesse.
The event was organized by MCL producer Madhavanand along with Kumar, Meena Gowda, and artist Renu Shikhari. The matches of MCL Season 1 will be held on January 17 (one day) at the Ashok Rising Star Cricket Ground in Bengaluru.
