‘ Toxic’ Gears Up for Massive Tamil Nadu Release; Distribution Locked Ahead of Festive Opening

The Tamil Nadu distribution of Toxic, starring Kannada superstar Yash, has been officially locked at a substantial price, with multiple leading distributors joining forces to ensure an expansive statewide release.

In Chennai city, the film will be distributed by Think Studios. The Chengalpet territory has been secured by White Nights through Trident Arts. S Picture will handle Coimbatore, North and South Arcot, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari regions. Meanwhile, 5 Star K Senthil has acquired the rights for Madurai & Ramnad, Trichy & Thanjavur, and Salem areas.

Toxic marks the next big-screen outing of Yash following the unprecedented success of KGF: Chapter 2. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026 (Thursday), strategically timed to coincide with the festive weekend of Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, and Eid al-Fitr, raising expectations of a strong box-office opening.

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in pivotal roles.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, who also directs the project, Toxic has been simultaneously shot in English and Kannada. The film will additionally be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages to cater to a pan-Indian and international audience.

The film is produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under their respective banners, positioning it as one of the most anticipated multi-lingual releases of 2026.
