Siddaramaiah Chamarajanagar Superstition Statement: CM Says His Leadership Is Secure, Rejects Myth of Losing Power

Siddaramaiah Chamarajanagar Superstition Statement press meet

The Siddaramaiah Chamarajanagar Superstition Statement has become a major talking point in Karnataka politics after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah firmly dismissed the long-standing belief that a sitting CM loses power upon visiting Chamarajanagar. Speaking at the district helipad, Siddaramaiah said his visit itself was meant to put an end to the superstition.

“I Do Not Believe in Blind Beliefs” — Siddaramaiah

The Chief Minister made it clear that he does not subscribe to myths or rituals of this nature.

“I do not believe in blind beliefs. I visit all districts without discrimination. The notion that a Chief Minister loses power after visiting Chamarajanagar is a superstition. My position is secure now and in the future,”
Siddaramaiah declared.

On D.K. Suresh’s Statement About Leadership Change

When questioned about former MP D.K. Suresh hinting that Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar might become Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah refused to engage.

“I will not respond to such comments. The Congress has a five-year mandate and we are committed to fulfilling our promises,” he said.

He added that the so-called “November Revolution” was nothing more than a media-driven narrative and expressed confidence that the Congress would return to power in 2028.

Cabinet Reshuffle: High Command Will Decide

Clarifying the buzz around leadership change, Siddaramaiah said speculation began only after he mentioned a possible cabinet reshuffle at the mid-term mark.

“Reshuffle decisions lie with the party high command. Out of 34 ministerial berths, two are vacant and will be filled during the reshuffle,” he clarified.

Will Continue Presenting Budgets

When asked whether he would lead the party into the 2028 polls, he responded that such decisions would be taken at the appropriate time.

“I will continue to present the state budget as long as people expect me to,” Siddaramaiah said.

With this assertive stand, Siddaramaiah aimed to silence political rumours while directly challenging the superstition surrounding Chamarajanagar.
