Prabhas Fauzi shoot Melukote temple backdrop scene

The highly anticipated Fauzi, starring Prabhas, is progressing at a brisk pace as the team continues filming in the historic temple town of Melukote. The Prabhas Fauzi shoot Melukote schedule has drawn widespread attention, with key scenes being filmed at several iconic locations in and around the region.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film features Prabhas in a never-seen-before avatar a soldier serving in the British Indian Army during the pre-Independence era. Newcomer Imanvi stars opposite him in her debut role.

Sources confirm that several important sequences involving Prabhas and other principal cast members have already been canned in Melukote, which provides the perfect natural backdrop for the film’s vintage setting. The temple architecture, rocky landscapes, and heritage sites have added authenticity to the period drama’s visual narrative.

A ₹400-Crore Pan-India Spectacle

With an estimated budget touching ₹400 crore, Fauzi ranks among the most expensive films of Prabhas’ career second only to Kalki 2898 AD. The cast includes legendary actors Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher, bringing strength and depth to the film’s ensemble.

Inspired by the legacy of Subhash Chandra Bose, the film weaves patriotism with drama, action, and emotional gravitas. Massive sets, detailed production design, and extensive VFX work are being executed to recreate the colonial era with precision.

Action, Scale, and Star Power

Prabhas, known for his commanding screen presence, is reportedly shooting several high-intensity action sequences that blend realism with the grandeur expected from a pan-India blockbuster. The makers aim to deliver a powerful mix of historical storytelling, gripping visuals, and large-scale action.

Release Plans

Fauzi is scheduled to release on April 3, 2026, though industry buzz suggests the date may shift closer to the Independence Day weekend to capitalize on its patriotic theme. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers, known for mounting some of India’s biggest productions.

Prabhas continues to juggle multiple major projects simultaneously, including The Rajasab and Spirit, solidifying his position as one of India’s busiest and most bankable stars.
