Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu has inaugurated the Mahesh Babu Dolby Cinema Bengaluru launch, marking South India’s first Dolby Cinema screen at the newly renovated AMB Cinemas Kapali. Set to open officially on December 16, the Mahesh Babu Dolby Cinema Bengaluru launch introduces a state-of-the-art auditorium combining Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for an immersive visual and sound experience.
This milestone Mahesh Babu Dolby Cinema Bengaluru launch is part of the actor’s expansion into the multiplex segment beyond Telugu states, following his entry with Asian Cinemas in 2019. The Kapali multiplex features nine advanced screens, including a massive 60-foot-wide Dolby Cinema screen only the second such installation in India after Pune.
The Mahesh Babu Dolby Cinema Bengaluru launch aligns with Dolby’s wider Indian expansion, with upcoming locations in Hyderabad, Trichy, Kochi, and Ulikkal, while AMB Cinemas also plans a new AMB Classic outlet in Hyderabad.
