Chaitra’s ‘LSD’ Offers a Compelling Mother and Daughter Bond

The newly unveiled teaser for the Kannada film LSD (Lailas Sweet Dream) introduces a story centered on a powerful mother-daughter relationship, featuring Chaitra J Achar in the lead role of Laila alongside M.D. Pallavi, who returns to acting as her mother, Pushpa. Directed by Shakti Prasad and produced by Jayaram Devasamudra under Suram Movies, the film promises a distinctive emotional narrative that marks a departure from Chaitra’s previous roles.

Chaitra J Achar expressed her immediate connection to the script, which was narrated to her over a year ago, noting that her character is “completely different” from anything she has done before. Director Shakti Prasad described LSD as his first feature film after several short films, emphasizing its exploration of a unique theme and the emotional bond between a mother and daughter. The project also features senior actor Avinash in a key role as a businessman.

With one shooting schedule already complete and the next set to begin on January 15, the film’s technical crew includes music composer Mithun Mukundan, cinematographer Ritesh, and editor Balaram. Producer Jayaram Devasamudra highlighted Suram Movies’ commitment to encouraging new talent, confirming that LSD aligns with their vision of supporting fresh narratives in Kannada cinema.
