KSDL Sets Historic Monthly Production Record in January 2026

State government–owned Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL) has scripted a new chapter in its history by recording its highest-ever monthly production in January 2026. The company produced 4,894.777 metric tonnes of products, surpassing all previous records.

The January output included 3,798 tonnes of soaps, 941 tonnes of detergents, and 155 tonnes of cosmetics, reflecting strong operational efficiency across product categories.

Officials said the milestone was achieved due to a combination of improved governance measures, efficient management, market expansion, brand strengthening, and round-the-clock production in three shifts, with a sharp focus on quality. Notably, the record production was achieved without the addition of new machinery or extra manpower, by optimally utilising existing infrastructure.

KSDL has been consistently breaking its own records from 2020 to 2025, and the latest achievement marks a significant leap forward. The company has set an ambitious target of achieving an annual turnover of ₹5,000 crore by 2030, and the January performance is seen as a strong step towards that goal.

Widely known for its iconic Mysore Sandal Soap, KSDL continues to strengthen its position as one of Karnataka’s most successful public sector enterprises.
