Hyderabad:
Tollywood icon King Nagarjuna made a special appearance at his AAA Cinemas to unveil the 4K remastered trailer of the legendary film Shiva. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd, reflecting the enduring cultural impact of the film that reshaped Telugu cinema in 1989.

Directed by Ram Gopal Varma, Shiva is widely regarded as a cinematic revolution — introducing raw realism, a memorable background score, and a portrayal of student politics that resonated deeply with audiences across India. The film not only elevated Nagarjuna’s career to superstardom but also marked a defining moment in modern Telugu storytelling.

Speaking at the launch, Nagarjuna expressed heartfelt gratitude and nostalgia, stating that Shiva remains a cornerstone of his career and a milestone in Indian cinema. The actor noted that the 4K remaster allows today’s generation to experience the same intensity, grit, and artistic freshness that made the film iconic more than three decades ago.
The digitally restored 4K version of Shiva is set for a nationwide re-release on November 14, promising cinephiles an opportunity to revisit — or newly discover — one of Indian cinema’s most influential classics.
