Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Karunya Ram has filed a police complaint against her younger sister, Samruddhi Ram, at RR Nagar Police Station, exposing a bitter family feud involving alleged betting losses and missing valuables.
According to the complaint, Samruddhi reportedly racked up around ₹25 lakh in losses from betting and business failures. She allegedly borrowed from private lenders, using family cash and gold to settle the debts, which plunged the household into financial crisis.Once a makeup artist and beauty professional who appeared in TV serials like Raja Rani and Mane Devru, Samruddhi has since shifted to business pursuits, stepping back from acting.
Tensions boiled over as creditors hounded the family home for repayments. When confronted about the missing assets, Samruddhi allegedly fled and cut off contact, leaving relatives in distress. Karunya highlighted the mental toll from these intrusions, plus unwanted social media scrutiny.
