In a sharp and uncompromising statement, D.K. Shivakumar Fake CM Change Gossip dominated political conversations today as the Deputy Chief Minister lashed out at sections of the media for circulating what he called “completely fabricated stories” about a possible change in the Chief Minister’s post.
Visibly frustrated, Shivakumar said:
“Every week you create a new story out of thin air. This isn’t journalism it’s gossip production. Stop dragging my name and the CM’s name into your imaginary power games.”
Calling these rumours irresponsible, misleading, and harmful, Shivakumar accused some media houses of knowingly poisoning the political environment for sensational headlines.
He warned:
“You are misleading the public and poisoning the political atmosphere. There is a limit to this nonsense.”
The DCM reiterated that the Congress government in Karnataka is united, and urged journalists to act with integrity instead of amplifying speculative narratives.
The statement comes amid recurring chatter in political circles about leadership changes, chatter Shivakumar dismissed as “fiction created for TRP.”
