The Darshan Parappana Agrahara jail controversy has intensified as several inmates lodged in the Bengaluru prison have formally complained of intimidation and harassment by the Kannada actor, who is currently jailed in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case. Inmates identified as Anukumar, Jagga, Nagaraj, Pradosh, and Lakshman alleged they felt unsafe near Darshan’s barrack, prompting some to seek transfers to other facilities.

This Darshan Parappana Agrahara jail controversy emerged after images from inside the prison circulated on social media earlier this month, raising questions about preferential treatment and prison discipline. In response, jail authorities have enforced stricter protocols, making it mandatory for all inmates without exception to follow routines like standing in meal queues and participating in cleaning duties, including toilet maintenance.

While officials maintain that law and order are under control, the Darshan Parappana Agrahara jail controversy highlights heightened sensitivity due to the actor’s celebrity status. The developments coincide with the impending release of Darshan’s film The Devil on December 11.
