Bengaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a series of large-scale conventions across Karnataka to protest what it describes as the Congress government’s failures in governance. The opposition party said the protests will focus on deteriorating law and order, alleged corruption, irregularities in welfare schemes, and the rising drug menace.
Leader of the Opposition R. Ashoka said the BJP aims to take these issues directly to the people through public rallies in different regions of the state. He accused the Siddaramaiah-led government of administrative inefficiency and neglecting public safety.
The conventions, scheduled to be held in cities including Ballari, Mysuru and Hubballi, are expected to draw senior BJP leaders and party workers, marking an escalation in the opposition’s campaign against the ruling Congress ahead of future electoral battles.
