The upcoming edition of the Bengaluru International Film Festival is undergoing a significant logistical shift, as BIFFes 2026 venue changed to Lulu Mall in Rajajinagar. The festival, scheduled from January 29 to February 6, 2026, will now primarily take place at Cinepolis, Lulu Mall, replacing Orion Mall which had served as the main hub for nearly a decade.
The decision behind the BIFFes 2026 venue changed to Lulu Mall was driven by the need for greater capacity and flexibility. Organisers cited the requirement for more screening halls, additional space for panel discussions, academic sessions, and delegate interactions to accommodate the festival’s expanding scale and programming ambitions. While the move has sparked mixed reactions among regular attendees, festival authorities are confident that the modern, multi-screen setup at the new venue will enhance the overall attendee experience and allow for a more diverse and parallel film schedule.
This strategic relocation marks a new chapter for BIFFes, aiming to leverage improved infrastructure to host a larger selection of films and events, reinforcing its position as a major cinematic gathering in India’s cultural calendar.
