In the Bengaluru ATM Cash Van Heist Latest Update, six people including police constable Annappa Naik have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the ₹7-crore ATM cash-van robbery. Investigators say Annappa, using his insider police knowledge, acted as the key planner and guided the gang throughout the operation.
Major Recovery But Some Cash Still Missing
Police have recovered ₹6.29 crore, while ₹82 lakh remains missing.
The arrested include:
- A former CMS employee
- A current CMS transport in-charge
- Three accomplices
Three more suspects are still on the run.
A Heist Planned Over 3 Months
According to police, the gang:
- Conducted multiple recces
- Avoided CCTV-covered routes
- Frequently changed vehicle number plates
- Stayed off mobile phones to evade digital tracking
Most members were reportedly under financial pressure, which motivated the heist.
Multi-State Manhunt
A massive coordinated operation involving over 200 police personnel across multiple states helped crack the case.
The arrested suspects have been remanded to police custody, and further investigation is underway to trace the remaining accused and missing cash.
