The iconic Kapali theatre site in Bengaluru’s Majestic area has been transformed into a modern multiplex with the launch of AMB Cinemas Kapali, owned by Tollywood star Mahesh Babu. Once one of Asia’s largest theatres, Kapali held deep emotional value for cinema lovers for nearly 50 years.
The new multiplex features nine screens and is South India’s first Dolby Vision cinema, using advanced Barco laser projection technology for superior picture quality. Screen 6 is especially notable as the region’s first Dolby Cinema, equipped with a Christie 6K Dolby Vision projector and immersive sound.
AMB Cinemas also offers premium seating with the M-Lounge, a live kitchen, and curated food and beverages. Ticket prices are kept affordable, with shows running from 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Plans are underway to expand AMB Cinemas to other parts of Karnataka.
