RSS Focused on Social Service, Not Electoral Politics, Says Mohan Bhagwat in Ludhiana

Mohan Bhagwat, chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), on Thursday asserted that the organisation does not engage in electoral politics, stressing that its mission remains rooted in social service and nation-building.

Addressing a gathering in Ludhiana, Bhagwat clarified that the RSS is committed to strengthening society at the grassroots level rather than participating in vote-centric political activities. He underlined that the organisation’s work revolves around community welfare, character building, and fostering unity across different sections of society.

Highlighting key social challenges, Bhagwat called for collective efforts to tackle unemployment and rising drug addiction among youth, describing them as pressing concerns that require sustained community intervention. He urged volunteers and citizens alike to work towards social harmony and constructive engagement.

The RSS chief reiterated that while individuals associated with the organisation may choose different paths, the Sangh as an institution remains dedicated to societal development and national cohesion, distancing itself from direct involvement in party politics.
