Karnataka has announced plans to establish a 200-acre Defence Electronics Park and a 100-acre Avionics Park as part of its strategy to strengthen aerospace and defence manufacturing in the state. The initiative is aimed at attracting major investments, generating employment opportunities, and positioning the state as a leading hub in advanced technology sectors.
Officials said the proposed parks will focus on boosting indigenous defence production while encouraging innovation and research-driven growth. The government is expected to collaborate closely with industry leaders, start-ups, and premier research institutions to create a robust ecosystem for design, development, and manufacturing.
The move is seen as a significant step toward industrial expansion and self-reliance in defence production, aligning with national goals to enhance domestic capabilities in critical technology domains. Authorities expressed confidence that the twin parks will accelerate economic growth and reinforce Karnataka’s standing as a key player in India’s aerospace and defence landscape.
