Renowned playback singer Arijit Singh is set to explore a new creative path as he steps into film direction and production. According to industry sources, his debut Hindi project is a jungle adventure film that marks a major shift from music to cinema.
The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s daughter Shora and Arijit Singh’s son in lead roles, and is co-produced by Arijit Singh and his wife Koel Singh along with Mahavir Jain. Currently being filmed in Shantiniketan, the project also features a special appearance by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and a supporting role by veteran actor Dibyendu Bhattacharya.
Adding a personal touch, the script has been co-written by Arijit and Koel Singh. The makers are planning to premiere the film at major festivals before a pan-India release, raising expectations for Arijit Singh’s transition from music maestro to filmmaker.
