At the Republic Day Bharat Parv celebrations in New Delhi, Karnataka’s vibrant tableau, themed “From Millets to Microchips,” drew widespread attention by showcasing the state’s unique journey from agricultural heritage to technological leadership.
The tableau highlighted Bengaluru’s emergence as India’s leading technology hub, underlining its strengths in information technology, biotechnology, electronics manufacturing and the fast-growing semiconductor sector. Blending visuals of traditional millet farming with cutting-edge digital and industrial imagery, the presentation symbolised Karnataka’s balanced growth model that connects rural roots with global innovation.
Officials said the tableau reflected the state’s vision of inclusive development, where sustainable agriculture and advanced technology go hand in hand. Bengaluru’s role as a global centre for startups, research, and high-tech industries was prominently showcased, reinforcing Karnataka’s position as a key driver of India’s knowledge economy.
Visitors at Bharat Parv praised the tableau for effectively capturing the state’s transformation and its contribution to the nation’s economic and technological progress.
