Watch Bharathi Teacher Seventh Standard for just ₹50 from Friday

Kannada film Bharathi Teacher Seventh Standard can be watched at a special ticket price of just ₹50 by audiences as a Sankranti festive gift.

This offer is applicable only in single-screen theatres across Karnataka. Entrepreneur Raghavendra Reddy, hailing from Siruguppa, has invested in the film under the banner Poojya Films. Gururaj Reddy is the co-producer.

The film features Rohith Raghavendra in the lead role as a pro-Kannada activist. Veteran actor Sihi Kahi Chandru appears as a teacher, while young Yashika plays the title role. Aditya is seen as a Deputy Commissioner. Popular television personality Govindegowda (of Comedy Khiladigalu fame) makes his debut as a villain, and Ashwin Hassan plays a police inspector.

The supporting cast includes Divya Anchan, Benaka Nanjappa, Soujanya Sunil, and M. J. Rangaswamy. Cinematography is by M. B. Hallikatti, editing by Sujith Nayak, orchestration by K. M. Indra, choreography by Kambiraj, and executive production by Raghav Surya and Darshan Gowda.

Explaining why audiences should watch the film, the director said Karnataka should be filled with Kannada-speaking citizens. If every student educates at least ten others, the entire state can be empowered through language and learning. This message is delivered on screen by current Labour Minister Santosh S. Lad. The makers believe that children inspired by the film will educate at least ten others, while adults, by understanding children’s mindset and encouraging them, can help create role models in society. The producers have appealed to the public to make use of the ₹50 ticket offer.

The story revolves around a seventh-grade student named Bharathi and how she fulfils her dream of becoming a teacher. The film highlights the importance of Kannada and education in Karnataka and conveys, in the climax, a plan where millions of children like Bharathi take responsibility for teaching Kannada to at least ten others.

Director M. L. Prasanna described it as a story rooted in concern for Kannada language and culture. Under the leadership of Venkatgouda, the film is set to release this Friday in around 100 centres across Karnataka.

The story, screenplay, dialogues, lyrics, music, and direction are all handled by M. L. Prasanna. Venkatgouda serves as the Creative Head from Krushi organisation.
