The Bigg Boss Telugu 9 finalists have been decided, setting the stage for a dramatic season finale on December 21, hosted by actor Nagarjuna. Among the top five contestants vying for the coveted ₹50 lakh grand prize are two prominent figures from the Kannada entertainment industry: actresses Sanjanaa Galrani and Tanuja Puttaswamy, marking a significant cross-industry presence in the competition’s climax.
Tanuja Puttaswamy, also known as Thanuja Gowda, is a Bangalore-born actress with a successful career spanning Kannada cinema and Telugu television. She made her acting debut in the 2013 Kannada horror film *6-5=2* before achieving widespread fame as Parvati in the long-running Zee Telugu serial Mudda Mandaram. Her transition into the Bigg Boss house and subsequent journey to becoming one of the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 finalists has been closely followed by her pan-South fanbase.
Her fellow Kannada representative among the Bigg Boss Telugu 9 finalists is Sanjanaa Galrani. A former Kannada Bigg Boss contestant, Sanjanaa returned to the spotlight with her participation in the Telugu version. She began her career as a child artist and model, with notable roles in Kannada films like Ganda Hendathi and Telugu hits like Bujjigadu opposite Prabhas. Her strategic gameplay and experience in reality television have made her a formidable contender in the final stretch.
The other three Bigg Boss Telugu 9 finalists rounding out the top five are Kalyan Padala, Nanduri Emmanuel, and Uppal Pavan Kumar. The winner will be decided purely by public vote, which opened on December 14 and will close at midnight on December 19, just before the live finale event.
