The UNSW Bengaluru campus announcement marks a significant milestone for Brand Bengaluru, as Australia’s University of New South Wales (UNSW) confirms plans to establish a campus in India’s premier tech and education hub. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan formally handed over the UGC’s Letter of Intent during the Australia–India Education and Skills Council meeting in New Delhi.
The UNSW Bengaluru campus announcement includes details on academic offerings, with programmes in business, media, data science, and cybersecurity set to be available. Australian Education Minister Jason Clare highlighted India’s role as Australia’s “closest education partner,” emphasizing the campus’s potential to foster innovation and skilled talent.
Alongside the UNSW Bengaluru campus announcement, the two nations unveiled 10 new joint research projects in AI, quantum technology, MedTech, sustainability, smart mobility, and space, backed by ₹79.84 crore in funding. This move further cements Bengaluru’s position as a global nexus for education, research, and technological advancement.
