Village Cooking Channel 30 Million Subscribers: A Landmark for Indian YouTube

Team members climbing a tree to get internet in early days

The Village Cooking Channel 30 million subscribers achievement marks a historic moment as the platform becomes the first cooking-focused YouTube channel from India to reach this milestone. Run by six friends from Chinna Veeramangalam village in Tamil Nadu’s Pudukkottai district, the channel’s journey from humble beginnings to global recognition is a testament to perseverance and authentic content.

Launched in 2018 by Subramanian, Ayyanar, Periyathambi, Murugesan, Muthumanickam, and Tamilselvan, the Village Cooking Channel 30 million subscribers feat didn’t come easy. Initially, poor internet forced the team to climb trees to upload videos, with their first 55 uploads receiving minimal attention. However, improved content quality and a viral video transformed their reach, leading to nationwide fame.

The Village Cooking Channel 30 million subscribers surge was significantly boosted after Rahul Gandhi shared a meal with them during his 2021 Tamil Nadu visit. Today, the channel ranks fourth globally among food channels, proving that traditional village cooking and unwavering determination can create extraordinary digital success.
