The MB Patil London Investment Delegation will embark on a crucial three-day visit from November 24 to 26, with Karnataka’s Large and Medium Industries Minister M. B. Patil leading a high-ranking team to the United Kingdom. The mission aims to secure new investments from top UK-based companies and strengthen economic cooperation between Karnataka and the UK.
Strengthening India–UK Industrial Collaboration
Ahead of the visit, Minister Patil held discussions with Seema Malhotra, UK Minister for Commonwealth Affairs & Development, and Linda Cameron, British High Commissioner to India. The talks centred on enhancing bilateral trade, boosting technology partnerships, and accelerating investment opportunities.
Patil highlighted that the India–UK Free Trade Agreement, signed earlier this year, has opened up favourable conditions for collaboration across several strategic sectors.

During the London trip, Patil will meet the leadership of major global firms, including:

These meetings aim to bring investment into key areas such as:

- Research-driven technologies
- Technology exchange initiatives
Patil will also join a significant business roundtable organised by the UK–India Business Alliance on November 25.
British Educational Institutions Set to Expand in Karnataka
UK officials informed that two renowned British schools are entering Karnataka:
- The King’s School, Canterbury – Opening in Bengaluru in 2026
- RGS Guildford in partnership with Ryan Education Group – Opening in 2028
Both will follow the 12-year British curriculum, adding to Karnataka’s fast-growing global education ecosystem.
Patil also welcomed the recent launch of the University of Liverpool’s Bengaluru campus, expressing confidence that many more international universities will soon choose Karnataka as their next global hub.
