A gripping, curiosity-driven thriller from debut director Prashanth M.L.
The teaser of the psychological thriller February 30, directed by Mysuru-based filmmaker Prashanth M.L., has been released, adding a wave of intrigue to Sandalwood’s latest lineup of thrillers. Featuring Abhishek, Sahitya Shetty, Akshay, Manoj and Shivakumar, the film promises a chilling narrative built around mystery, unease and human emotions making the February 30 psychological thriller teaser one of the most talked-about releases of the week.
February 30: Teaser of the Psychological Thriller Unveiled
The newly launched teaser introduces audiences to the eerie and mysterious tone of the film. Directed by Prashanth M.L. and produced by Joseph Baby under Shankar Movies International, the film brings together a dynamic ensemble supported by the visual storytelling of P.M. Unnikrishnan and music by Lijin Pam Bo.
A Director Following His Passion
Speaking about the project, Prashanth shared:
“I work in IT, but writing stories and making short films has always been my passion. Shivakumar supported my idea from the beginning. I wondered why I shouldn’t make a full-fledged film. That thought led to February 30. The producer didn’t even ask for the story he simply said, ‘Make the film and show it.’”
He explained how the very title February 30 naturally invokes curiosity:
“No one expects a date like February 30 in real life. This film explores how our inner six emotions Arish advargas can turn into villains within us. Audiences who walk in with curiosity will walk out with answers, and a thrilling experience.”
A Story Rooted in Mystery and Human Emotions
The film follows five friends who travel to an unknown location, where they encounter a series of strange, supernatural events. The narrative builds around how they confront an unseen, powerful force that challenges their fears and emotional vulnerabilities.
The team shot the film in an intense 17-day schedule 14 days in Ammachi Kottal, Kerala, and 3 days in Mysuru often working nearly 24 hours a day. The story begins and concludes in Mysuru, and the makers plan to release the film next month.
