Bengaluru:
The Kannada film industry witnessed a special moment as Real Star Upendra launched the trailer of “GST (Ghost in Trouble)”, marking the directorial debut of Talking Star Srujan Lokesh. The trailer event, held with much fanfare, also saw Priyanka Upendra unveiling the song promo of the film, which will be out on November 14, ahead of the movie’s grand release on November 28.
Produced by Sandesh N and presented by Sandesh Nagaraj under the iconic Sandesh Productions banner, GST promises to bring a unique blend of horror and comedy, designed purely to entertain.
🎥 “GST – From Ghost in Trouble to Go See in Theatre”
Speaking at the launch, director-actor Srujan Lokesh said:
“GST is a dream I’ve seen come true, thanks to our producer Sandesh. Though it’s titled Ghost in Trouble, I now say it means Go See in Theatre! This project is very personal — it carries my family’s legacy forward.”
The film indeed represents a three-generation milestone in Kannada cinema:
-
Srujan’s grandfather Subbaiya Naidu introduced his father Lokesh as a child actor in Bhakta Prahlada.
-
Lokesh later introduced Srujan as a child artist in Dashavathara.
-
Now, Srujan’s son Sukruth makes his acting debut in GST, marking a proud moment for the Lokesh family.
💬 Industry Support & Family Pride
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar sent special wishes to Srujan and gifted him an autographed bat as a symbol of encouragement.
Producer Sandesh N remarked:
“I didn’t need to hear the story — I trust Srujan completely. GST is our 34th production, and we’re confident the audience will enjoy it.”
Veteran actress Girija Lokesh expressed her pride, saying:
“Our family has always shared a deep bond with cinema. This film is extra special — my son Srujan turns director, and my grandson Sukruth joins him on screen.”
Actors Rajani Bharadwaj and Ashok also shared their excitement about being part of the film, while Sukruth Lokesh hosted the launch event with charm and emotion.
🎶 New Beginning: Lokesh Music
Adding to the celebration, Srujan announced the launch of his new music label, Lokesh Music, under which all songs from GST will be released.
“GST has an unpredictable 40-minute climax, strong performances, and technical brilliance. It’s a fun entertainer with no message — just laughter,” said Srujan.
GST releases November 28, bringing together family legacy, creative passion, and the unmistakable energy of Talking Star Srujan Lokesh.
