In recent days, Kannada social media platforms have been overwhelmed with unverified claims and speculative content surrounding actor Darshan and his personal life. At a time when the star remains in judicial custody, and his family is facing unimaginable emotional turmoil, these rumours only deepen their pain.
What’s most concerning is the timing of these discussions. Is this truly the moment to debate or dissect private matters, when both Darshan and Pavithra are in custody and unable to respond or clarify? How fair is it to expect any official statement from individuals who are not even in a position to speak for themselves?
This is when sensitivity and restraint should guide us — not haste and speculation. Yet, we continue to witness manipulated images, misleading posts, and baseless narratives spreading rapidly online. These not only distort public perception but also cause deeper hurt to those already enduring hardship — his family, friends, and fans who continue to hold faith amid uncertainty.
Every social media share, comment, or headline carries real emotional consequences. Before amplifying unverified content, we must pause and ask: Are we serving the truth, or are we adding to someone’s suffering?
The Kannada film fraternity, audiences, and digital creators all have a moral responsibility to stand together — not in chaos, but in compassion. In difficult times, empathy must speak louder than judgement, and humanity must outweigh hype.
Because at the end of the day, kindness costs nothing, but its absence costs everything.
