Bengaluru, October 7, 2025: Leading production house Hombale Films, the makers of the globally acclaimed Kantara franchise, has released an official statement addressing misleading interpretations and misinformation circulating on social media regarding Kantara: Chapter 1.
The banner clarified that the film is deeply rooted in faith, devotion, and cultural reverence, and not intended to offend or misrepresent any community or tradition.

In their statement, Hombale Films recalled the immense love and respect that Kantara received for its portrayal of Tulunadu’s spiritual heritage and divine traditions. With Kantara: Chapter 1, the makers aim to take audiences on an even deeper spiritual and emotional journey, inspired by India’s timeless bond between humanity and nature.
However, the team expressed concern over “baseless and false claims” being circulated online.
“Some social media accounts are attempting to distort the spiritual and cultural intent of the film,” Hombale Films said. “Kantara: Chapter 1 does not target any community nor promote divisive ideas.”

Reaffirming the film’s intent, the makers emphasized that Kantara: Chapter 1 is a work of fiction, crafted to celebrate universal themes of faith, devotion, and the sacred connection between humans and the natural world.
“Our film represents faith, devotion, and the divine bond humans share with nature. Any resemblance to real incidents or persons is purely coincidental,” the statement read.
