₹25 Crore Boost for Women Entrepreneurs as Akka Cafés Expand Across Karnataka

In a significant push to promote women-led enterprises, the Karnataka government has approved an allocation of ₹25 crore to establish 2,500 “Akka Cafés” across the state. The initiative, announced by Industries Minister M. B. Patil, aims to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for women while strengthening the small-business ecosystem.

Officials say the cafés will serve as community-based entrepreneurship hubs, encouraging financial independence, local employment, and grassroots economic growth. The move is expected to play a key role in empowering women and boosting micro-enterprise activity in both urban and rural regions.
